Local magazine: East Ham
East Ham is a quiet old, but colourful and multi-cultural part of East London . It’s in a good location: not too far away from central London and have plenty of green spaces, for instance, two largest parks - Central and Plashet - merge open spaces with playgrounds and cafes. In addition there are many stores and restaurants specialising in ethnic tastes and numerous places of worship for many different religions. Moreover young people can have many sporting opportunities and because of London 2012 Olympics, which is organised in Newham, individuals have a chance to participate.
Unlike in some richest areas, in East Ham live low income families and more than fifteen percent of residents are unemployed. Therefore not always area looks clean and solid.
In conclusion if you have big family, you are active, love sport, like to try new cuisines or experiment with new taste and not really care about little chaos in the streets - East Ham is ideal for you.
